5/3/11 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Tuesday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 3. May 2011 19:20

It's six months later and there are still some lingering post-pregnancy symptoms.  During my pregnancy my hair dresser couldn't get over the fact that I alreaady had had thick hair and the hormones had made it even thicker.  In the past she was always so surprised there was so much hair because my hair is straight and fine which leads most people to believe there isn't much of it.  Once the highlights go in, my hair dresser is shocked at how long it takes.  It's deceiving but there's actually a lot of it there.  After about four months of pregnancy it had gotten extremely thick!  At the end of my pregnancy my hair dresser kept warning me that at about 3 months post-pregnancy it would start shedding...by large quantities.  Ugh, she was definitely right.  Clumps of hair are still falling out.  They are everywhere, in our house, on my clothes, and in my son's hands.  Sadly, the strong and long nails are gone too.  The last two months of pregnancy was when my nails were beautiful!  LOL, that's about the only two positives I could find from all my hormones since they pretty much had me sick until the end!  Wink
